Michelle Costanzo
Director and Principal Psychologist/Consultant

Michelle Costanzo is a fully registered and practicing Psychologist with 15 years’ experience, and she has worked within the health care industry for over 20 years.

Michelle utilises a wide range of therapy approaches developed for assisting children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families with emotional, behavioural, and relationship issues.  Michelle works in the areas of EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation Process), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Positive Psychology, Family Systems, Sandplay Therapy and Creative Therapy. Michelle works to empower people to strengthen and enrich their lives.

Michelle is a passionate professional, acclaimed within the social services sector, notably featuring as a key note and motivational speaker across social and educational issues, and she holds Full Membership of the Australian Psychological Society (MAPS).  She has been inducted as a member of the Golden Key International Honour Society (CQU and QUT branch), a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management (FAIM), a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (MAICD), actively engage in APS support groups for EMDR; and is a member of EMDR Association of Australia (EMDRAA); and Association for Contextual Behavioral Science (ACBS).

In the areas of business and business coaching, her passion lies in the development and implementation of strategies that create more effective value based partnerships among community and business based efforts.  She works within formal and informal support systems, and utilises authentic leadership within the social service sector and private industries. Michelle promotes and assists economic, environmental, social and cultural benefits to people; utilises change management strategies, and strengthens culture and values to bring the best out of service systems resulting in the best possible service outcomes for individuals, families, and organisations. She works to empower others to strengthen their knowledge and skills, and unlock their full potential.

Michelle brings a wealth of management experience to Mindset Synergy, which includes expertise as a Committee Member and a former president of Community Centre Governance, past Director of Deadly Nations Ltd, Board Secretary of 4 Community Not for Profit Organisations, and Executive Management of strategy and operations of companies within the Education and Training, and in the Human Services Sector (Child Safety/Protection, Disabilities, Aged Care, Family Relationships, Individual and Family therapy). Michelle is a dynamic force within Mindset Synergy, and a person who manages and encourages leadership and team building.
